Trading Symbol: (OTC BB: SNSG) Guardian AlertŪ Rear-Sensing Device Offers Drivers Doppler Radar Technology to
Protect Against Deadly Back-Up Accidents
Guardian AlertŪ provides drivers with a three-stage audio-visual warning system that not only detects obstacles in the path of a car traveling in reverse, it measures diminishing distance, and eliminates false warnings for those objects that pose no threat of collision. Drivers are alerted to danger by a warning indicator inside the vehicle. An exterior sensor affixed invisibly behind the rear bumper or inside a trailer hitch (like any hitch-plug installs), transmits data and alerts the driver of potential hazards - such as pets, small children, pedestrians or bicyclists -- when backing up. Guardian AlertŪ's Doppler technology is impervious to weather-related performance restrictions and needs no ongoing maintenance to perform properly. Lighting conditions, precipitation, dust and grime or severe road conditions will not affect Guardian AlertŪ's ability to deliver accurate information to the driver. In tests against other warning technologies, including optical, infrared, and ultrasonic, Guardian AlertŪ's Doppler microwave radar sensing offered drivers the most overall reliable means for avoiding potential rear collision hazards. There were fewer incidences of "nuisance" notifications, and Guardian AlertŪ's "awareness zone" was the most comprehensive on the market, extending from the rear of the vehicle outward nine feet for the width of the vehicle. Vertically, the coverage area begins at ground level and rises five feet. Sense Technologies National Sales Director Tim Goldsbury states, "Some reverse warning systems leave unsuspecting drivers with blind 'holes' large enough for an adult to pass unnoticed, defeating the very purpose for which these systems were created. The Guardian AlertŪ system can detect objects posing an impending danger behind a backing vehicle in all weather and lighting conditions. The product can be fitted on any type vehicle in minutes, and there is no visible indication of the product once installed to detract from the exterior styling of the car." Guardian AlertŪ's Doppler microwave radar offers complete coverage to the rear of the vehicle without compromising detection of people. It senses only diminishing distance between the vehicle and any object, an important means by which nuisance notifications are reduced. As a further means to reducing nuisance notifications, the Guardian AlertŪ intuitively recognizes when a driver is reversing toward an object with a closing speed of under a one-quarter of a mile-per-hour, because in this scenario, the most logical assumption is that the driver already recognizes the existence of an object and is accordingly "inching" toward it. The Guardian AlertŪ provides no notification in this case, saving the driver the inconvenience of an unnecessary warning. Kids And Cars, www.kidsandcars.org, the leading advocacy organization dedicated to issues affecting child safety and automobiles, has documented more than 150 fatalities when children were backed over in the past two years as a result of "blind spots" because the children could not be seen behind a reversing vehicle. Says Goldsbury, "Blind spots behind vehicles are the leading cause of death and serious injury to children in non-traffic related auto accidents. Through products such as Guardian AlertŪ and increased driver awareness, we hope to see the sad and startling statistics ultimately reduced to zero." The patented Guardian AlertŪ is available online at Sears Auto, www.sears.com/autosafety, or by calling Sense Technologies at 1-866-617-2327 for a list of retailers near you. The suggested retail price is $299. The Guardian AlertŪ system includes a planar (flat) antenna, Doppler radar transceiver, signal processor, and audio-visual display. Background Sense Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB: SNSG), a publicly traded company, develops and markets backing awareness products for the automotive industry that have been created to help drivers avoid tragic accidents resulting from vehicle blind spots and impaired rear visibility. The company currently sells two patented technologies - Guardian AlertŪ, a Doppler awareness-based rear sensing device, and ScopeOutŪ, an aerodynamic mirror system that enables drives of cars and SUVs to see an enhanced panoramic rear view of oncoming traffic prior to backing out. Sense Technologies, Inc.'s sales offices are headquartered at Alhambra Plaza, 725 N. Hwy A-1-A, Suite C-106, Jupiter, Florida 33477-4565.
